TESTIMONIES...
When God once touches you... there is just something in your heart that
longs to tell others. This is good and right and it is in accord with the
Holy Scripture. Ten lepers came to the Lord Jesus one day in St. Luke
17:11-19. He marvelously and miraculously healed all ten! They then left
rejoicing in their newly restored health. Only one came back to give God
the praise for what He had done. I often wonder what happened to the other
nine. Did they remain well? Did their Faith remain strong enough to keep
the enemy at bay? Let's not be like the nine... but rather let us be like
the one who returned to give God the glory for the good things He hath
done!
So Come Let Us Testify...
We thank the Lord Jesus for bringing Sis. Rachel safely through her tests
on Thursday.
The following is a poem the Lord gave to Sis. Bethany Tatum on February
21st, 2007. Sis. Bethany had just come through a year full of pain and
uncertainty that culminated with the removal of her gall bladder January
31st, 2007. Through it all the Lord Jesus has drawn her closer and closer
to Himself and for this we are more grateful than we could ever express!
To God be the Glory! The poem is as follows:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Here I am before You broken,
Clinging to the Promises You have spoken.
Sometimes I think this dark cloud will never pass,
And you say to me “My child, just ask!”
And it seems I ask time after time,
Then I remember; Your time not mine.
Time after time the devil beats me up more,
Like waves crashing relentlessly on the shore.
But I know You are with me,
Far away though it seems.
Though they say there’s a silver lining on every dark cloud
Even though darkness feels like a shroud,
I know there’s a Promise to be found.
I know there’s a purpose for those ups and downs
To make me stronger, where You can be found!
And from the ground on which I lie,
I ask You Lord, “Why? Why? Why?”
And I look up, for my answer is in the sky,
To see that the answer I seek is that my trial is a blessing in disguise!
So dear Lord I’ll look to You,
For where else can I look?
All the answers You have are in the Good Book.
And through this dark circumstance I can’t seem to see,
You tell me “Child just hold on to me.”
And though my circumstances seem dire,
I, Lord, will lift You higher!
