BUILDING PROJECT
Over the years our humble little building here in Plainville has served this congregation well. In this unassuming building we have had so many wonderful experiences in the Lord. God has spoke to us in so many ways and blessed us in spiritual atmospheres. Truly the Heavenliness have been manifest here in this little building. Prayers have been answered... miracles have been seen. We are quite attached to the little country church here in Plainville.

In 2006 the little building could no longer comfortably hold us all. So with determined hearts, willing hands and near empty pockets, we set out to enlarge and update the humble building God had provided for His children so many years ago. It has been a long process so far in which we have invested blood, sweat, tears and many, many prayers. We still have quite a ways to go but God has supplied all our needs!

We began by tearing off the old front of the building which held two tiny bathrooms, a Nursery and a Sunday School room.

It was a sad and pitiful sight once we had ripped the front off...           But we were quite proud of ourselves!

And by Sunday morning we were ready for church! OUCH! Bro. Tony Abma ministered this first Sunday after demolition! Everybody enjoyed the services and the words of encouragement from Bro. Tony for our project. Even though it seemed to be a huge undertaking for this small congregation, still we were quite excited about what we had started and were full of expectations.

After the demolition we were ready for the foundation and the plumbing. What a monstrosity
that turned out to be! It took over 50 yards of concrete to pour the foundation slab and porch!

Then comes the day... Labor Day 2006... when we are finally able to begin raising walls! But where is everybody !?!

The walls were put up swiftly with all hands on deck!

Work doesn't seem so bad when you enjoy the company!

And by Sunday we were ready to have church again! The sisters made good use of the new porch!
This photo is actually several weeks after that first Labor Day weekend. But the Lord has been so gracious to us and has allowed us to finish each stage of the building process without having to miss any Sunday services!

God has been very good to us, working through different brothers and families, to supply our needs as they arose. Below are several pictures of those blessings that God gave this little church.

Bro. Billy Cowan donated two central heating and air units to the church! Thank you and God bless you Bro. Billy!

Thanks to all of the brothers who have come out all the many Saturdays and provided the hands to do the work! Without you nothing would have been done!

Not shown in this picture is Bro. Ken Ardiel who flew all the way down from Vancouver just to run the vacuum cleaner for us on this day! Thank you Bro. Ken for your wise words of encouragement and the help you gave!

There have been other contributions also which we would like to mention here although the pictures are not up yet. Mr. Dixon of Crane Plumbing for donating the toilets and sinks. Bro. Doyle and Bro. Duane Jackson for donating the iron railing for the porch. All the saints who have donated their time and money to this project. You are all greatly appreciated and I trust God will abundantly bless you for all your efforts!
